Literature Text
June 30
shy young girl -
a wildflower peeks
from a windy field
June 29
in no breeze
the slow bend of a grass blade
- ladybug
June 28
just
a flick of the cow's tail
- morning stillness
June 27
horsefly
into my morning shade
- my honey-do list
June 26
bluebells
perfect in the morning sun
-a sunday choir
June 25
an evening fog
fills the valley
- after the quarrel
June 24
my bloated pond -
a poem trickles
onto a new page
June 23
enduring drizzle -
an american beauty
finally succumbs
June 22
morning rains...
everything
sleeping in
June 21
midstream -
the cool splash of ferns
on the path
June 20
riverside willow -
one lolling hand
from the canoe
June 19
wild strawberries -
the good things
she sees in me
June 18
near the solstice -
an old man slowly rises
from his rocker
June 17
midday sun -
my shaded cat
yawns a welcome
June 16
an east wind -
the underside of maple leaves
before the rain
June 15
summer pond
countless dragonflies weaving
- a sale at the mall
June 14
rain soaked path -
splotches of petals
from a bowing rose
June 13
overcast day -
pervasive shade
within and without
June 12
summer begins...
roadside day lilies arcing
- fireworks from the lake
June 11
poplar leaves -
the sound of wind chimes
on the summer breeze
June 10
after the rain
the sharpness of colors
- a cricket starts up
June 9
graduation day -
the plastic swan in the pond
with a tassled cap
June 8
morning dew -
the spider's web
all too obvious
June 7
fireflies
in my darkened field
- back porch musings
June 6
a reading lamp moth
interrupts me
- its powdery wings
June 5
village church bells
clearer this morning
- a cloudless sky
June 4
the road home -
a caterpillar
halfway
June 3
a light rain...
the morning luster
of wet crows
June 2
odd...
how the butterfly's path
straightens in this wind
June 1
waves
across the hayfield
- a rusted harrow

In the Syllable
...then there is a way in diswaiting.
Dust some yellow sand covers,
here uncover bare bedding.
...suffusing red planes, blushed dunes,
under incidentally quilted blanket
wet as arid curves, as sounds.
...in a persistent pavement,
in a solemn unsuited promise,
some written words erase
some letters drip and soak
unto a perfuse miracle,
a dislocated split,
a letting go of...
Literature
that one...
That one…
That one girl that you wished for
That one girl that you lived for
That one girl that you’d die for
And the one girl you missed your chance for…
We want what we can’t have
It’s all the same with love
The one that makes you wish you had
The one that makes you cry
The one that makes you love her more
And the one that makes you fly
If you love her more than the world
You should never let her go
Because if she gets away from you
You will never forgive yourself
That one girl that you wished for
That one girl that you lived for
The one girl that you’d die for
And the one girl you missed your chance
